"Turning The Tide" - Canadian House & Home, October 2011 Article

Check out the article "Turning The Tide" on the restoration of our Chester, Nova Scotia residence in Canadian House & Home's October 2011 issue, currently on Newsstands. It's about Mark and my discovery, eventual purchase and restoration of our home on the East Coast of Canada.

We were very excited and extremely happy with how it turned out. Both the article and images are great. See for yourself.

Thank you again to Canadian House & Home for featuring our restoration of this wonderful old house and the wonderful community of Chester, Nova Scotia.

  1. Can't wait to check and see if my copy of H & H is in the mailbox for a closer look. Looks fabulous, but then again anything by you Philip would be nothing less! Congratulations on the great work and the recognition.

  3. Hi! This is a crazy world. i picked up a copy of H&H on Monday. Blogged about some of the images of your incredible home that evening. Came across another picture of your work on a tumblr site, clicked through to your portfolio, pinned like a mad woman a whole lot of your pictures and then clicked on your blog only to discover I saw you a couple days ago in H&H. Are you following? Do I sound like a lunatic stalker? I had to stop in and say hello and tell you that you are so incredibly talented and i'm clearly a HUGE fan of your work, however newly discovered. I'm thrilled to have found you are also bloggers! Yippy! Happy day! Congratulations on all your success! Tessa

  7. Hi Tessa,

I don't even know what to say other than - Wow! You made my day and have jumped to the top of my favorite Blog post comments. Thank you so much for the wonderful, flattering compliments, the back story to discovering the connection and best wishes.

You most certainly do not sound like a lunatic stalker - just someone as passionate about design as I am.

I very much look forward to following your posts, specifically your personal decorating journey at Nine & Sixteen and I am very happy to add a new Blogger friend to my favorites.

    Cheers P.

    PS. Your boys are adorable.
